Who is Marcus?

Marcus Sorensen is a therapist, global volunteer, and writer. He also undertook three years of medical training, before finding the walls of NHS hospitals a bit too confining.

He does a lot of travelling, in space and time, and likes to share his experiences in writing and photography. When not off-the-map, he is currently based in London. Marcus was born in Denmark, but increasingly, anywhere he goes can feel like home, except if there are too many mosquitoes.

World Service

Marcus has a calling to offer service to the world, and is always interested in hearing about any projects or places that need help or attention. So far, he has volunteered in the following places:

Mendoza Hospital, Argentina

Lamu Dispensary project, Kenya

Peace Camp 2016, West Bank – Israel / Palestine

Other Activities
Marcus has a therapy practice, which includes Spiritual Counselling, Holistic Conversational Therapy, Brennan Healing Science, Past Life Regression and Life Between Lives Hypnotherapy, which you can read about at

He also offers training seminars and workshops on a variety of subjects related to psychology and wellbeing, and can create bespoke teaching materials to suit the needs of those who wish to explore these subjects.

In 2016, he took great pleasure in training over 500 police officers, social workers and other front-line support workers in Mental Health issues for young people in gangs, as part of the Mental Health Safeguarding and Training (MAST) programme, funded by the Mayor of London. That led to some rather high-adrenaline adventures on ride-alongs with rapid response police cars…
